Caroline Sombers Raskiewicz, CRNA, BSBA, DNP was appointed Program Director of the Wyoming Valley Health Care System/University of Scranton School of Nurse Anesthesia in August 2005. Caroline began her career as a Diploma RN Graduate from Nesbitt Memorial Hospital in Kingston, PA. She obtained a Certificate in Nurse Anesthesia from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, PA. After graduation, Caroline received a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from College Misericordia, Dallas, PA. |

Ann McAndrew Culp, CRNA, DNP is an alumna of this program and a graduate of Pittston Hospital School of Nursing. She completed her BA in Health Care Administration at Ottawa University, Kansas City, Kansas. She went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Nursing and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Case Western Reserve University, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Culp is presently Assistant Program Administrator of the Wyoming Valley Health Care System/University of Scranton School of Nurse Anesthesia. She has been with the school since 1992.

Susan Elczyna CRNA, MS was appointed Clinical Director of the Wyoming Valley Health Care System/University of Scranton School of Nurse Anesthesia in February 2009. A 1981 graduate of Geisinger's RN Diploma Program, Susan began her career as a staff nurse at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. After spending the majority of her career in SICU/Shock Trauma she decided to become a CRNA, graduating from Wyoming Valley Health Care System/Wilkes University with her MS in 2000. Since graduation she has worked in both Wilkes-Barre and Scranton with an interest in cardiac anesthesia. Susan has taught in the anesthesia program since 2002 and previously served as a Captain in the United States Army Reserves as part of the anesthesia team at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. At the present time, she is pursuing her PhD at Marywood University in Scranton with an anticipated graduation date of 2012. |
